ARB Warn Outback Challenge The ARB Warn Outback 4x4 Challenge is Australia's Premier 4wd Event. Held in the remote outback countryside near Broken Hill in New South Wales, Australia, it is held over 9 days every year in May. The Silver City: Mining History "With all the prospecting activities in the district in the early 1880s, it was not suprising that sooner or later somebody would become interested in the Broken Hill surface indications of some form of mineralisation. Such proved to be Charles Rasp, the boundary rider, from Mt. Gipps station who had invested, as so many others have done since, in the current "Prospectors Guide" of his day.

Day Dream Mine Tours Come and have the real life experience. Our tours are for all ages. Kevin, Beth and staff, would love you to come and visit us. The mine is inspected weekly in accordance with the mines inspection act. Mining first commenced at this site in 1882. Work began here before Broken Hill was discovered. You will see the remains of the original smelter, many of the implements and original stopes. Mining continued here until 1983 Cornish Cream Tea's Available.
